The Fairfield Horseshoe
A Classic Horseshoe Walk and Stunning Views
This fabulous ridge walk and was one of Wainwright's favourite ridge walks. He described it as " a great horseshoe of grassy slopes below a consistently high skyline, simple in design and impressive in altitude". The western horseshoe is certainly this.There are various options and we like to do the eastern horseshoes which reveal the rugged terrain and impressive cliffs providing us with a dramatic landscape.
This route takes in St Sunday Crag, Fairfield, Hart Crag, Dove Crag, Little Hart Crag
As with most of our activities this fully guided walk is a private booking with just your group so the pace will be set by you and if there is anything you would like to include please ask.
This is a physically demanding walk so a good level of fitness is needed.
